Women's Rugby

Frédérique Meyer is in charge of Womens rugby. Her Deputy is Petra Tretter and her role with respect to Swiss Womens rugby consists of 3 main points:

Firstly she responds to the needs of female players in Switzerland and provides support for these. She has a responsibility towards all female players in Switzerland through the captains and managers of the national teams to:

• Ensure that Women's Rugby has visibility within the FSR, in terms of budgeting, of the shceduling of action p[lans and of development activities
• Ensure that the management and development of the FST provides benefit for Womens Rugby
• Be responsive to the needs of the female players, of the coaches and of the managers and to comply with their expectations in terms of what a person responsible for Womens Rugby should be doing
• Be responsive to complaints and criticisms (also positive statements) of the players with respect to the FSR and to transmit these clearly in order to obtain answers and concrete solutions

Accordingly represent Womenss Rugby to the best of her ability and with due honesty, to enable the FSR to represent the Swiss womens game outside of the country's frontiers.

Finally, she fills the role of a spokeswoman and coordinator for:

• Setting-up and maintaining an operational structure of the national teams
• Establishing action plans for the promotion of Womens Rugby with all of those responsible at club level or within the FSR
• Coordinating the participation of national teams in international tournaments with the responsible persons
• Ensuring that there is communication between the managers, the captains and the FSR
• Being the contact person for every player or team in any discussions or disagreements with the FSR
