Sevens Rugby launches 2010/11 season

The restart of the championship for NLB, NLC und 1st Division East has been scheduled for 4 September 2010, for NLF, NLA and 1st Division West to 11. September 2010.

However, the season starts on Saturday 28 August 2010, with the first Swiss Super Sevens tournament at the Stade des Cherpines in Plan-les-Ouates (Canton Geneva), the home ground of current Swiss champions RC Geneva PLO (NLA, XV).

This first tournament belongs to a series of five qualifying events for the final tournament on 9 July 2011. Current champion in Sevens Rugby is Stade Lausanne who comfortably beat Nyon in the final on 3 July 2010.

The second Swiss Super Sevens tournament will take place on Saturday 2 October, at the Milandia Stadium in Greifensee, organised by GC Zurich Rugby.
